TAKING A TEST DRIVE
today I got to hear my bass for the first time since being taken apart...
this was a sort of test drive...with a very basic set-up...
the instrument came up to pitch without single creek or complaint...
her voice was quiet at first...but she cleared her throat quickly and began to sing...
I am amazed at the sustain...what a difference...
the tone seems to have more definition now yet still has a good woof/boom...
at this point set-up adjustments will be made to get it as close as possible to what it will be after refinishing...
although there's a skunk quality to this current look I kinda like...
